Where Can I Rent a Trailer in Payne Springs, TX?

Where Can I Rent a Trailer in Payne Springs, TX?

Payne Springs sits along the north shore of Cedar Creek Lake, strung out on TX-198 between the water and the woods. It's a town of lake houses, boat docks, and long driveways, and that means there's always some kind of project going: a deck getting torn off, a cabin getting gutted, or a trailer load of brush that needs to go somewhere.

If you're looking to rent a trailer in Payne Springs, TX, the closest option is Kaufman Trailer Rentals, based just down TX-198 in Kemp. We're a locally owned rental yard, not a national chain, and we run on a self-service model so you can grab a trailer whenever the job calls for it, not just during business hours.

Pickup from Our Kemp Yard, About 15 Minutes Away

Our yard is in Kemp, roughly 12 miles from Payne Springs, about a 15-minute drive down TX-198 along the lake. That's close enough to hook up a trailer in the morning, run it back to your property, load it up, and still have the whole day left for the actual work.

Because the trip is short, it's realistic to rent a trailer for a single day, finish a job, and bring it back without losing half your weekend to driving.

Trailers for Lake House Cleanouts and Dock Tear-Offs

Cedar Creek Lake properties tend to generate a specific kind of debris: old decking, dock lumber, water-damaged drywall, furniture nobody wants anymore, and the occasional pile of brush from a shoreline cleanup. Our fleet is built around that kind of work.

For a full lake house cleanout or a deck and dock tear-off, most folks end up using one or two trailer types depending on the size of the job.

• 14k hydraulic dump trailer - for tear-off debris, old decking, shingles, and anything you'd rather dump than shovel by hand
• 20' open utility trailer - for hauling lumber, furniture, or bulky items that don't need to be dumped
• Enclosed cargo trailer - for moving tools, appliances, or anything that needs to stay dry and out of sight
• 14k car hauler - for moving equipment, a boat trailer, or a vehicle off the property
• Junk removal / dumpster-style cleanout service - if you'd rather have a trailer dropped and picked up than tow it yourself

24/7 Self-Service Pickup with Lockii

Our trailers are secured with a smart-lock system called Lockii, which means you can pick up and drop off on your own schedule, day or night. There's no office to wait on and no one you have to time your project around.

This matters most for lake work, where the timing isn't always predictable. If a contractor finishes a tear-off at 7pm on a Sunday, you can still swing by the Kemp yard, grab a trailer, and get moving the same evening.

What a Dump Trailer Costs

Our 14k hydraulic dump trailers rent for $150 per 24 hours. That covers a full day of hauling, whether you're making one big run to clear a deck or several smaller loads around a lake house cleanout.

If you'd rather skip the towing altogether, our junk removal service runs $350 for a 3-day rental, or $250 for a live load, where we handle the loading for you.

Before You Hook Up: A Quick Checklist

Self-service rental works best when you show up ready to hook up and go. A few things to have on hand:

• A tow vehicle with the right hitch and ball size for the trailer class you're renting
• Working trailer lights and a functioning electrical connection on your tow vehicle
• A rough idea of load weight, so you don't overload a 14k trailer on debris or lumber
• Straps or tie-downs if you're hauling furniture, equipment, or anything that can shift
